This bright, new day... complete with 24 hours of opportunities, choices, and attitudes… a perfectly matched set of 1440 minutes. This unique gift, this one day, cannot be exchanged, replaced or refunded. Handle with care. Make the most of it. There is only one to a customer. (Author Unknown)
You choose how to spend our day. Will you make it a memorable, happy one or will you squander it away? Life is full of many challenges, but it is up to you to have a great day. May you laugh instead of cry; may you smile instead of frown. May your words be full of wisdom instead of criticism; may you be encouraged instead of discouraged. May you always put your trust in God and rest in His everlasting arms.

Friends -
I just have to share the following words by John Mason:
"Tell me who your best friends are, and I will tell you who you are. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl. But, if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights.
Proverbs says, "A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses." The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate - for the good and the bad."
Mr. Mason goes on to state, "A true friend is one who is there to care. They remain your friend even if you don't deserve to have a friend. They will see you through when others think you're through.
He further states, "As you grow, your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are. Friends that don't help you climb, will want you to crawl. Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dream. Those that don't increase you, will eventually decrease you.... Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst end of the bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person.
In my personal opinion, this is one great thought by John Mason, and it is so true. Friends are like diamonds, you choose them carefully. Thank you Lord for all my dear friends!

If I Had my Child To Raise Over Again
IF I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars,
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often,
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd model less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.

Hope
Here is a picture that was taken in my backyard. This is actually the very first bloom on my Nasturtium plant. (Thank you, Catherine for giving me the name.) Beauty arises, but only after it endures the dark, desolate time of being hidden.
Hope is the dream of a soul awake! (French Proverb)
