We had a great time visiting with mom and dad over the Thanksgiving holiday. As Sheldon mentioned time and time again, they just need to stay longer because a week is just too short.
This picture was taken the day that Grandma and Grandpa flew back to Texas. From the time that Sheldon arrived home from school he kept asking his daddy if grandma and grandpa are still in the air. When they were getting ready to pick me up from work, Mark was able to capture this thoughtful pose. A plane flew by and he was looking up at it...no doubt already missing his grandparents.

Knowing how much my grandparents meant to me, this makes me sad to think he is so far away from them. Maybe it won't be too long until he can be with them. Texas isn't THAT far away.....if you fly.
Maybe we can get him over to ride "Rocket" (my horse) to help him with him missing his grandparents. Let me know a good time for you all and we'll do it!
Bro. Saiz, we'll have to give you a call. :-) When his grandparents took him shopping for his new boots and cowboy hat, Sheldon mentioned your name and asked if we could go see you and Sis. Saiz. Our families will have to get together soon!
Sis. Elms I'm not sure if it is harder on the grandparents or the parents when there is such distance. :) We miss being so close, but maybe someday when they get ready to retire they will move to California!
I love Cowboy Sheldon!! He is so cute! Please, let's get together some time soon. Maybe we can set a date on Monday night at the sectional Christmas party. I can totally relate to him about missing his grandparents. We lived in Houston when I was his age and mine lived in New Mexico! I cherished every time we were together!! Incredible memories!
Sis Pryor, I know how Sheldon feels
my sister and i would just cry and cry every time that we had to leave my gramma's house, the memories that we have are special, when we were younger we used to get on a greyhound bus and ride from Bell Gardens Cal to Miraloma (Riverside) just to spend a few hours with Gramma and then go home, them memories that I have of my gramma are priceless. That would be nice if they lived closer, Sheldon, never forget all the times that you share with your grandpa and gramma, they are special people I am sure, God Bless, Cheri Bagato
Sis. Saiz, looking forward to seeing you on Monday, and we'll have to set a date for when we can all get together. I know we will have fun. Grandparents are so wonderful, and we do cherish those special moments. Sheldon will always remember making peanut butter fudge with his grandma. :-)
Cheri, I agree all those memories that you have experienced are priceless. Sheldon always enjoys his time with his grandparents, and we try to make every moment count!
Debbie, that picture of Sheldon is precious. I could feel his sadness. What a sweet child!
