Coffee Please!

First Cup December 28, 2005

Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz:
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no Equal™:
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks:
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the House of Mochas forever.

That IS funny!! Thanks for the laugh! I went to Morocco last summer for a missions trip and I got hooked on the coffee there! But when I came back home and tried a few cups... I just couldn't enjoy it! However, I do enjoy an ocassional Starbucks! (I like a little coffee with my sugar and cream!) :)

Sis. Hurst, someday we'll have to sit down and enjoy a cup of java and just chat.

Catherine, I am doing okay without my cup of morning coffee. Monday I was a wee bit grouchy, but doing okay today! I can't wait for Friday so I can have a grande vanilla latte!!!

Rochelle, I can only imagine what the coffee in Morroco taste like. I have read where fresh brewed coffee tastes much different than what we are use to here. I too like coffee with my vanilla creamer. :)

Ok,My morning coffee is like a baby not having a bottle. I have realized just how much it is a comfort in the mornings.
So,I have been waiting for this massive headache to hit me, well it hasn't yet but when I took a mintue today at work I realized just how short I was.
Thank-God we aren't fasting neg. & caffine together LOL

Guess I am shepherd - less. I hate coffee, the smell of it, and even a hint of the flavor. I know!!! I am strange. I'll stick to my Earl Grey hot tea.

Sabrina, thanks for making me laugh. I can definitely relate--no headaches, just grouchiness on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday all seems okay, but I sure do want some chocolate. Hang in there; we only have one more day and then it is Friday-COFFEE DAY!! I am now ready for a venti!

Jana, just think of all the money you are saving Brian. LOL

This is sooooo funny! I am a coffee drinker though not as much as I used to be, thankfully. I hope you don't mind if I post this on my blog or perhaps I'll just place a link to it on mine. God bless!!
